What is an Intensive? How do I know if this is right for our family?
This is a great option for families that would like to get their child some support & see quick results. The Intensive format is either over two weekends, Saturday & Sunday, each weekend 4 sessions, for a total of 8 sessions of play therapy (45 minutes each). There is one session in the AM and one in the early PM. The other intensive structure is Friday-Monday ( 2 sessions a day for 4 days)
There is always an option to continue therapy afterwards, if there is availability, however the intensive is a great way to shift and realign difficulties that your child is displaying in a short amount of time. If your unsure about commitment to longer term therapy or if scheduling is an issue this would be a great option for you and your family.
What does the Intensive include?
– An intake meeting with just parents (45 mins) before the Intensive begins (To set goals for treatment & learn about the play therapy process)
– 8 (45 min) sessions (once in the morning and once in the afternoon over two weekends.)
– Each day a 30 minute phone call after the sessions
– After the intensive is completed a treatment summary with recommendations & additional parenting resources applicable to your child
Intake paperwork & payment is required to secure your space along with a $300.00 deposit. Space is limited!
