Megan’s background as a certified yoga teacher, has allowed her to shape a holistic approach to treatment with clients. Megan’s approach to treatment is always trauma informed and strengths-based. Incorporating mindfulness into practice with children and adolescents assists with refining an individual’s capacity for paying attention, and self -awareness. The “symptoms” displayed by children, and adolescents often represent their attempts to adapt to the world.
Knowing personally how difficult the adolescent years can be, Megan’s work with youth on the road to finding themselves – working specifically on self-esteem, trauma, and issues around peer pressure. By providing a safe and open environment, Megan encourages clients to find and use effective ways to cope with life transitions, face challenges, promote positive change, and achieve their goals.
